September 28th, 2024 is the next FREE FISHING DAY and it is approaching rather quickly! On Free Fishing Days all Indiana residents can fish the state’s public waters without a fishing license or trout/salmon stamp. Children 17 and under do not need a fishing license to fish on any day. Every year Indiana gives four free fishing days, so be sure to check back every year, so you can lock those days in on your calendar.

For public places to fish near you in Indiana, please check out Where to Fish. So be sure to check out the regulations and plan to fish September 28. You may also check out fishing regulation tips and videos at Learn 2 Fish to help you maximize your fishing experience. Register for the Indiana State Nature Passport program at Visit Indiana, then check in when you visit a property to participate in a variety of giveaways during the week and throughout the year.
